Kansas Style Barbeque Sauce

Bring the aroma of barbeque, of summer, and fun inside your home with this flavorful recipe that takes your mind to those lazy summer days in which you can relax with a cold beer while waiting for the steak that is sizzling on the grill, outside in the open air… This rich and decadent sauce will become one of your family’s favorite sauces!

 

 

Ingredients:

– Ketchup 705 gr

Liquid Smoke – 1/4 of a teaspoon

– Brown Sugar 100 gr

– Caster Sugar 200 gr

– Hot Sauce – Tabasco 2 teaspoons

Garlic Powder – 2 teaspoons

– Onion Powder – 1 teaspoon

Apple Cider Vinegar – 120 ml

– Mustard – 1 heaped tablespoon

Smoked Paprika – 1 teaspoon or 2 if no liquid smoke is available

– Molasses – 2 tablespoons

Worcestershire Sauce – 1 tablespoon

– Salt – to taste

– Black Pepper – 2 teaspoons

 

 

Preparation:

Mix everything in a pot and boil on low heat for 1 hour! Put it in jars and it will keep refrigerated for up to 4 months. If you want to keep it for longer you can always bain marie the jars and then keep them in your pantry for up to 2 years!
